1 - Stop - PRA Validation - Brisbane Introduction

12th September 2016

Notice To Clients
1-Stop / Flinders Port - PRA Auto Booking Validation Service
Brisbane to Commence as of the 19th September 2016

Please be advised that further to our notice dated the 5th July 2016, ANL are pleased to announce that the trial with PRA Auto Validation with 1 - Stop / Flinders Port was successful and we will continue with this process on permanent bases.

We will also now include Brisbane Port as part of PRA Validation process which will commence as of Monday 19th September 2016.

Consequently all ports in Australia except for Darwin will now be part of the PRA Validation process which will assist clients to ensure PRA data is correct before containers are delivered to the wharf.

As a reminder, the automatic PRA validation system is designed to ensure that the PRA data matches that of the ANL booking and consequently should eliminate costly terminal charges to our clients that may eventuate due to incorrect PRA data.

In the event that there is a discrepancy between data in the ANL booking and that of the PRA, the sender will receive an automated message from 1-Stop or in the case for Adelaide Flinders Port rejecting the PRA. This will prompt the user to check the booking details and either amend the PRA or arrange to amend the booking with ANL.

Customers can reduce the risk of discrepancies by ensuring that the booking details are checked before completing the PRA so that all details match.

It should also be noted that the PRA Validation Service now requires the mandatory reporting of the VGM data as per the SOLAS requirements.

Information that will be validated between the ANL Booking and the PRA is as follows:

• Booking Reference Number

• Lloyds Number

• Voyage Number

• Shipping Line

• Port Of Loading

• Port Of Discharge

• Number Of Containers In The Booking

• ISO Code

• Full/ Empty Container Indicator

To avoid any delays we urge shippers and or transport companies to ensure that PRA rejection messages are actioned as a matter of urgency.
